Day one: Kibale Forest.
Rise up early and prepare to go for chimp tracking and participate in the taming team that goes to learn the behavior of these primates in so as to make them accustomed to human beings. Take the entire morning in the forest going back to the lodge eventually for lunch. In the late hours of day light, you will have the chance of a guided walk passed the Bigodi Swamp.Uganda safari Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary is catered for by the Kibale Association for Rural and Environmental organization started in 1992 with the plan of achieving social and economic development for local communities. This swamp is a residence to about 137 bird species and it’s also wealthy in vegetation, like wild palms, polita figs and the dominant papyrus.
Dinner and over night at either Ndali lodge, a eye-catching position overlooking a dramatic Crater Lake and the fabled "Mountains of the Moon"/ Mantana Tented Camp (High end/luxurious accommodation), Rwenzori View Guest House/Ataco Guest house (Medium class accommodation) or Primate Lodge Kibale Bandas (Low budget/basic accommodation). Day two: Kibale - Queen Elizabeth National Park. (Approx. 3-4 hours drive)
having finished breakfast, you will leave Kibale and afterwards head for Queen Elizabeth National Park participating in a game drive while penetrating the park reaching in the afternoon. Rest next to the pool after lunch and then head for an early evening game drive. Its not surprising that Queen Elizabeth supports one of the greatest bio diversity ratings of any game park or reserve in the world, - from the open Savannah to Rain Forest, dense Papyrus Swamps and brooding Crater lakes to the hugeness of Lake Edward.
About 100 mammal species that include Lions,Botswana safari Hippos, Buffaloes, Leopard, Spotted Hyena, Elephants and the elusive Giant Forest Hog plus remarkable 606 bird species that include the Black Chested Eagle, the Swallow Tailed Bee Eaters, to mention but a few.
The Primates include Chimps, Black and White Colobus Monkeys, Blue, Black Faced Red Colobus, and Red Tailed monkeys and Olive Baboons.
Reptiles are the amazing huge Rock-Python, Puff adders, Spitting Cobras, Gabon Rippers, Green Mambas, and Turtles etc. All these are regularly sighted around the tourist village on the Mweya Peninsula and all this makes a superb safari territory.Namibia safaris
